After reading the excellent tutorial "Creating an FTP" that Norway posted ...

(I suggest you to read and follow his tutorial first, then follow up with it)

I thought maybe this tutorial can be quite useful for those interested in how to configure your FTP server bulletproof still do not know how ... Here's how to start ...

BulletProof FTP Server is 2.10. However, it should work fine on most following versions too.

I assume you have installed and cracked.

4. Click the "Options" tab of the same panel (side)

5. Look down in IP Options. Put this box "Refuse to multiple connections from same IP". This prevents a person other blocking FTP.

6. He also put a mark on the "Blocked Banned IP (instead of notifying the client.) VERY IMPORTANT: if someone decides to 'Hammer' (attempt to connect several times very quickly) your server / computer may crash if not enabled this option.

7th Click the "Advanced"

8. Let's look at the bottom of the '"area hammering"

9. Enable the "anti-ram" and "not respond to knocks 'Set the following 120 min of blocked IP addresses if 5 connections in 60 sec. You can define what you want, but that is a series Click' OK '

18. "Files" to "show the relative path" is a security problem. An FTP client will not be able to see the full path of the FTP server. You will see that the directory path. Hide flies well hidden.

Put a cross in two.

You do not need to take any of these things, but it helps to change the server, and to help maintain order in it. All of the following can be divided into small areas, which tells how one thing at a time.

Changing the Port

The default port is always 21, but you can change that. Many service providers routinely perform a scan of its users to find a ftp server, also when people search for pubs may scan your IP, thus finding your ftp server. If you decide to change many suggest that the port over 10,000.
